This zine entry features an original poem, "Birds Like Us," which draws from my experience in the student organizing space over my first year in the university setting. Themes of care, spirit, and solidarity seek to reflect our experience fighting for the full rights and dignity of our own communities, as well as those we are standing with and constantly learning from. The poem also touches on the beauty and resilience inherent to migration across borders, and the flames—little observations of beauty, victories, and learnings—that fuel our work and keep our fight alive.
