As a teenager in Generation Z, I noticed the growing homogeneity on social media--everyone seemed to be competing to appear perfect, curating their ideal Instagram profiles. In response, I strived to create a physical work that reflects the underlying algorithms that draw us into our screens, compelling us to fall into patterns and shaping our behavior. In our online communities, we must bring authenticity and prioritize our multifaceted characters over conforming to the algorithms designed by large tech companies--that way, we rebuild.
