When viewing this quarter’s prompt: “Crisis: rebuilding in community” I was reminded of the poems I wrote in my final year of undergrad. I felt like a singular voice that had fallen between the cracks and worried that future students' voices would go unheard. However, my breaking point mirrored a call for institutional change as I was not the first or last student to have felt this way. Crises are not born overnight, but each person impacted holds a fraction of the power and experience necessary to rebuild their community. United your voices cannot be held back.

When viewing this quarter’s prompt: “Crisis: rebuilding in community” I was reminded of the poems I wrote in my final year of undergrad. This poem is a reflective piece written during my studies on black geography as part of my feminist geography course. It is a response to my studies of the intersectionality of geographical spaces, histories, and landscapes in relation to black identities.
